Starting Out
Will Edwards lived the best of both worlds, attending Wheelers Hill Campus from Year 7-9 and Caulfield Campus from Year 10-12 after moving houses. After graduating in 2011, Will cannot speak more highly of his experience at Caulfield Grammar.

Will is grateful for the opportunities that Caulfield provided him academically and equally so professionally and socially. This resulted in him being extremely passionate about the CGS community and desiring further involvement.
The Path to Today
After high school, Will did not know exactly which career pathway he wished to pursue. Ultimately, in attempts to find his passion, Will tried a few internships within sports industries. He finds himself in the same field of work today.
Joining the Caulfield Grammarians’ Football Club (CGFC) community straight after school, Will made the most of various networking opportunities and enjoyed playing football with his friends. From there, Will found himself in various leadership positions. Currently, he is the Senior Captain of the CGFC. Will says that he never really focussed on gaining positions of leadership within the club. Instead, he recounts that with both he and his teammates naturally began taking up more senior positions.
Will is immensely proud to be so heavily involved in a club with men’s, women’s and Under 19 teams playing in premier divisions. A highlight of his time with the CGFC was the 2019 B Grade Premiership, which he describes as a great day.
Alongside his involvement with the CGFC, Will works as a Group Sales Manager for a sports marketing company called TLA Worldwide. Working with athletes and the media to build ‘off-field revenue’, Will helps facilitate sponsorships, appearances and endorsements, amongst other things. Will has loved every minute of this job, having now worked for TLA for nearly seven years. Will was helped by the CGS community in gaining this position at the age of 21, particularly by his mentor and fellow CGS alumni Jay Rowlings.
Advice for current students and young alumni
Will hopes that current students and young alumni will be as proactive as possible in meeting new people and making conversation.
“If you are kind and genuine, people usually want to help. It beats having your resume sit on a pile with 30 others!”
Today, Will reflects on just how privileged he was to be able to attend a school like Caulfield Grammar. He wishes he understood earlier that “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”.
